Dug a 6" zinc signal and found a very small silver ring...

Took the F75 for a spin today at one of the elementary schools in the neighborhood... Got a zinc signal which pinpointed at 6 inches... Was surprised to see this very small silver ring in the plug... Fits the grand-daughter perfectly who said Oooohhh Papa along with a big kiss on the cheek...

Sweet! Aint nuttin like gran-daughter kisses!

Im sure the depth accounted for the slightly off cue TID. So why do you think it was so deep?

You got that right about those kisses. When it sang out, checked the depth meter and she was mid way. Pin-pointed and seen 6 inches. The ring was 5 inches with an inch or so of thick bermuda on top. Didn't notice at first, but the wife pointed out the critter on the ring was a head-less teddy bear
Re-checked the ring after removin it from the plug, and still received a zinc tone. Was using 4H tones.

I suspect the ring was that deep as a result of the soft soil. I went to this school as a youngster and played on this field, which looked the same as it did way back when.
