Elton,

It is. I was just real lucky to swing my coil over this and pickup the signal. I've hunted hard over the last 10 months and just got lucky. Thanks so much for your comments. CCH

Lucky ?? I think your dedicated research, consistent hunting, with considerable skill had a bit to do with the awesome Plate you found.

Your a very talented relic hunter CCH ........... Enjoyed the video very much. Thanks for taking us with you on the hunt.

Great save, CCH. That is one to dream about. Good job on digging it and always enjoy following you on your hunts. You and yours have a great turkey day. HH jim tn

Excellent video and congrats on the box plate.

I have found some flat on one side round pieces of lead that look just like the fired pistol bullet you show. I was not thinking bullet when I recovered them, but am glad I kept them. And thanks for showing the bullet in the video.
Cheers,
tvr

Nice plate!!!! Those are very few and far between in North Ga. these days. What were the ID numbers on the LTD?

The plate was kinda sitting straight up and down so I just got a short but strong beep in the upper 40s. When I dug out the first shovel scoop, it then jumped to the upper 70s - low 80s. It was a solid, hard hit. The ground was moist from a recent rain. When i pulled out the garrett pro pinpointer, it went nuts; i knew i had something good. The plate has cleaned up nice. The U and S is really nice. The outer rim is not too good. Still has lots of lead on the back side. THANK YOU for your comments. Happy Thanksgiving. C C H

Here is a picuture of it cleaned (with warm water, soft toothbrush and dishwashing detergent) as it lies peacefully in one of my display cases. It has been officially retired. Thanks for all of your comments. Happy Thanksgiving. CCH
