I finally got out for a little over 3 hours tonight after a 4 month layoff because of work:rant:I went to a small town ball field that was a park for several years around the turn of the sentury and was very happy with my finds.Notice the rust on the dime and one Indian.Dime is a 1903-o and in bad shape and the quarter is a 1853 plain.Indians are rough as well and are dated 1902,rusty 1907,1901 with strong full liberty,1904 and ate up 1893.The V Nickle is a 1901 and no idea on the shield nickle.Wheats are 1909 plain,1913 plain,1915d and a ?.
The quarter was over 10" deep and read 1-46 on the ID but was a good repeatable high silver tone that begged to be dug.
Snow in the forcast for tomorrow so I had to go and glad I did as it had been way to long since my last hunt.

WTG Ray!!! Awesome way to get back in the swing of things. Let's get together again soon.... I need to get the silver mojo back:bouncy:

glad to see you in the dirt for a change.
i look foward to your post and your finds. your like my idel. lol

Sure was nice to get out for sure.Went back tonight and got another barber and 2 or 3 Indians and about froze to death.28 degrees and a stiff north wind.

Just let me know when you will have some time to hunt and I will be ready .That is if the ground is not frozen.Should be a few days yet considering how much heavy grass we have for insulation.I was digging in green thick grass today by the way but it will be brown soon as cold as it is,Ray.
