Dusted off the SE today and got in my first 2 hour hunt of 08.

I never use digital. I always use the smartfind screen because an injun has it's own unique way of hitting on the screen. Unless I'm bored and desparate...OR in the mood to dig any possibility...I can tell an injun from a deep screwcap 9 out of 10 times. Even though I rely on sound first and formost...the "injun dance" on the screen is the final decision maker whether or not I dig that type of hit. All other hits I rely on sound 100%...but on an injun hit...I use the screen too.
 
Detecting is nice for sure, but a Harley ride is hard to top - unless you're riding on your Harley to your favorite spot, where you find your pot of gold! HA!
 
Getting 3 Silver to start off the year is fantastic! Especially when 1 is Barber! Looks like another very interesting year for you in your neck of the woods for finds. Can't wait to get out and start finding my share of the loot and I am sure there are plenty others on here waiting for the ground to thaw to start the assault on Silver. I have found them to read as low as 23 and as high as 26 sometimes also, so if you get a Deep Signal that fluxuates in this area, you better dig it because it could be an Indian Head on Angle or on Edge. These readings are off my Explorer XS which only has the 1 Set of Numbers, which is the Non-Ferrous Numbers. Hope this helps. Good Luck and HH.
