E-Trac....32bit, 48MHz microprocessor, anyone know what the processor is on the SE????????

That's the REAL question, will this thing work FASTER in trash? The software changes are kind of nice. Will make it much easier for the new user to be more effective, especially setting sensitivity. But I don't see too much of a real help for the guys that knew their Explorers well. The suggested sensitivity levels are really interesting, especially where the manual goes into how to check out your ground for deciding to use normal or difficult ground. Does anyone know the Size or speed of the Processor on the SE?? The E-Trac is listed as a 32bit, 48MHz microprocessor, so now I am curious about the SE.

I was looking for that info last night, nothing is mentioned in the SE Pro manuals technical specifications, it is almost like it was omitted so we wouldn't have anything solid to compare with. Like you I want some valid #'s before I fork over the extra $$. I don't care about the new machines ability to share programs, I don't have any friends that detect, much less know anyone that would pay that for a detector. I am sure people have been programming the SE Pro just fine without a computer, so if I can't quantify a performance upgrade with the E-Track, I will get the SE Pro and spend the extra $200 on a sun-ray probe or the 5" EXcelerator coil.... Just my 2 cents worth.. HH Joe

Smile ,,, This is the real thing...

A few in the know have told me to be prepared to be surpriced....

Guess they was correct.

Now,,,,,, This is an 11" coil,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Man, That's a shocker. He was swinging that like a hockey player and it picked up no problem. That alone is gong to speed up MD in your area that you are in. I would estimate by about at least 50% if not a whole lot more. More time for you, more things to get out of the ground.I guess it's time to start putting more pennies into the bank.

True.

When i first saw it on the russian site i hoped it would be faster.

When i found the specs on crawford i knew it would be faster.

Now im chocked !

Congratulations Des-Gary and Minelab...

Gobsmacked! would be more accurate.:surprised:
Congratulations Minelab on a well put together machine. An SE on steroids indeed.
Mick Evans.

All the official Minelab videos on all the machines in their range will be posted on www.mlotv.com as and when they become available. Gary, Pat & Gordon have done a fantastic job on all the ones made so far. There will be plenty more to come no doubt.

Can someone say ....... KABOOM? I hereby make a prediction....... Coin prices are about to drop like a rock off a ten story building. 90% of all coins minted are lost in the ground right now, with this type of easy, "dummy" technology, anyone with 1500 bucks can now find collocated, once very difficult targets without any knowledge, experience or much effort. In 2 years or less there are going to be twice as many old coins in peoples collections then there are currently and the values of those coins will plummet because of it. Oh, and by the way, so is the resale value of your other Explorers, as they will probably no longer be necessary. You know the old expression...."Be careful what you wish for". Well...it's here. Does anyone know if ML is publicly traded??????? I am in awe, anyone want to buy 2 SE's, a DFX and an F-75???? Right now, on the very cusp of them becoming obsolete? Wait until they put out the Excalibur with this technology:shocked:
