The Beep Goes On

Hi,
I haven't confirmed this, but there is some information indicating that the E-Trac "file check" that occurs when uploading files to the E-Trac is in the Xchange program, not the detector. I've been told that a hacked version of Xchange was created and it can upload patterns made on the emulator or my spreadsheet without a problem. Hmmmmmm. I am not personally interested in hacking Xchange because, basically, I'm not a hacker (although I did have to "decipher" the .ptrn, .glb, and .mode formats).
If this is true it means that the stuff I wrote about the files is still true, but the check is in the software and not the detector. I never looked at Xchange in terms of de-engineering...never occurred to me. If anything interesting comes out of this I'll let you know.
HH!
