E trac first test

Hmmmm, went out and duplicated the iron tests from the video.. did the factory reset and relic mode setting.. I couldn't get near the response as they did in video, I had to sweep fairly slow, unless the coin was at least 8 inches away from the nails.. also I tried it on the ground instead of the board in air as well, and even worse results.. seemed like my pro did better.. will mess with settings a bit.. maybe its the sens, but I suspect the factory reset should be the same as his tests... OH yeah I tried it in the coin screen also..not very good on the ground.. but again this is air tests.. haven't had it out on real sites yet.. just odd I couldn't get it to hit the coin at any where near the sweep speeds he was doing in the video, yet the SE in iron mask and ferrous did about as well.. gonna take them both out and compare again at similar settings.. I am using actual rusty square nails from actual sites though, not sure what iron they were using in that video.. but looked like rusty nails.. the second video I am not sure at all what they were using.. Maybe I will run across the street and try the front yard.. been over it pretty good with the se, and its loaded with iron.. house was built in 1790

Hey, Jim--

Is this the kind of stuff you were using in your "first test?"

will try again when I have some time... working right now... I dont think screwdriver bits are a good test.. they are steel not like the rusty stuff in the ground.. the first video I saw it looked like they were using actual rusty iron, and were sweeping the coil as fast as you could..
Of course a little editing can do lots of things :)The odd thing is I saw not long ago they released a video of the SE in a similar test and it failed badly... just before the super fast etrac was coming out... but so far my SE is doing better on the same test? I took the video to truth and didnt even bother with my own test cause I know it works well enough in iron... but now having to question the MLO motives...
I got a pile of stuff I tested already with the SE, going to test them all with the Etrac soon and put up a comparable chart.. ferrous readings etc... then do some masking tests and see what happens with the etrac in coin modes and relic mode... in comparison to the SE in plain old iron mask and ferrous sounds.. But like I said the true test of any machine is in the field.. and even better if you have both machines to compare targets on, but thats hard to do by yourself

I was offended that a ML dealer would post such a video obviously setting up the SE in such a way that it would fail so horribly in the very test he designed, almost like that was the purpose. Why would a ML dealer be marketing the poor recovery speed of the SE??? and isn't awfully odd that the Etrac came out just three weeks later?? Check the thread "recovery speed eye opener..." on August 7th. Makes you wonder if we are not a bunch of fiddles and someone is playing us?:nopity: All these things may not be connected and/or ML decided that they should show a counter video to this obvious kick in the SE shin:shrug: As the coil turns:spin:

it is a one way SINGER.... ON THE GROUND , IN GROUND whatever!

factory mode**** variability maxed******24 manual sensitivity****** conductive mode .......

The Relic Factory mode sounds OFF in smooth which is a dragged out audio......... even in the relic mode on ferrous with normal sound and Maxed

variability
it sounds decent ....

...To accuse that the video is doctored is CRAP.... Plain and simple....If you can not make yours DO even Better than the Video....

Its the reason you do not let midgets shoot 357 magnums ......only fiddles being Played are playing with them self's
