I went out for just under 2 hours befor dark tonight to a littl old park in a small town 200 or so population .It sits on a major 4 lane hiway and has been hit hard for over 30 years at least.I have hit it many times as well and it was getting hard to find anything untill the Etrac that is
.It rained over 5" in the last 24 hours and the ground was muddy and that seemed to help.Anyway first signal was deep but sounded good and I dug as deep of plug as a regular Lesche will go and the probe said 2 or 3" deeper and at a measured 9-1/2" out pops a 1911 Barber dime.A few min. later another similar hi and at a full 8" a worn 1920 Mercury dime.I then doug a couple of deep pieces of coper wire and then another deep silver signal and at a full 10" anice 1899s Barber dime! I am thinking 3 old dimes in a row just does not hapen to me that often anymore.I then went on and found 2 wheats at 8" or so and then another wheat at 4" in some junk.Foungd 1 22 short and then a zinker and it was about dark and I left but shall return in the morning and see if it was just a lucky fluke.
Will post pictures tomorrow as cam. is at my office and I am at home on slow dial-up.I am getting sick of the whiners saying but my Explorer this and my Explorer that get over it the Etrac aint no Explorer and was never suppose to be!Now for those who ask what was this miriacle pattern I was running,Sorry it is a top secret program called factory coins with sen. bumped up on man. to 28 as auto was running at 21
.I was experimenting a little with the dreaded nulls or blanks everyone is so worried about on the Explorers and I don't think they are much of an issue on the Etrac. On a couple of the good silver signals I done some test passes over them and they were in junk that would cause a solid null on a normal speed swing and yet I could swing fast or slow left and right and still get a good solid hit every time.
I am sure some will lamblast me about this post but I am to the point that I could care less ,because I know what is working for me and what I am pulling out of hammered sights. And joe Blow can whine and doubt all they want while I keep putting keepers in the bank.If an diehard EX user will forget the EX for a day or two and use this machine with an open mind it may help. And yes I am a big Explorer fan but I won't let that stop me from enjoying the Etrac.
I think with it all metal is not as important as with the Explorers for coin hunting in parks as I do.The Etrac will run off and leave it far behind in a short while in junky parks if you open it up and forget the nulls and just wait for the deep coin sounds.
Well it is getting late and I want to get out early and hit it again and test my fluke theory. This post is not aimed at anyone in particular and is for motivational purposes only,Ray.
