E-trac screen viewable at all angles?????

Is there some sort of work-around to make the E-trac screen viewable at all viewing angles?
I tried an anti-glare screen that is used for going over IPads etc but that didn't help one bit.

I have found no solution to the problem. It is just about the only fault I find with the machine and it actually doesn't really bother me anymore. I just move it around until I can see the screen well enough when it's needed. A small trade off for such an awesome performing machine IMO.

It would be nice if Minelab would offer a fix for this problem. After all $1500.00 is not entry-level.

What cz said. Tony, you probably already know that messing around with the screen contrast can help a little. If you find something that helps please let us know.

I would imagine that the screen is a compromise of materials to deal with scratch resistance,glare and cost. My advice would be to get your settings the way you want and hunt with audio. This is NOT what I do with the CtX...different animal. It is what I do with the Explorer2. COULD it be “better”? Of course. But what the solution is still eludes many thousands of e-series users,to my knowledge. If there is no intent of exploring the possibility of Gorilla glass or something similar,you’ll just have to realize that it’s one of the etrac weak points,of which there aren’t many....

No..minelab doesn’t want to fix it cause then they might not sell the ctx...I’ve sent and 100’s others have brought this to there attention ...10yrs. Later...nothing.....there attitude is if you dont like it TUFF S?#@$...other wise it would have been fixed by now......(right minelab).?.......maybe they should contact whites how to do it..
