E-Track sizing pinpoint?

Mick in Dubbo

New member
I watched the video link about the timings and pinpointing, but couldn't quite grasp how it sizes a target. I went out with a friend last week who was armed with a sovereign. When pinpointing with that machine, he listened to how sharply the audio ramped up as well as width. Is this what is going on with the E-Track pinpoint or is there something else going on?
Mick Evans.
Just curious. The target pinpointed in the video didn't sound like a coin. I can only assume that this may have had something to do with it.

Good Day Mick, Are you going to buy one, and blow your mind. I'm making enquiries now about prices and trade ins. Bob

G'day Bob.
I've got to admit, it is tempting. If I traded my GTI, then I'd probably be able to afford one, but I might just wait till I can buy without stretching the budget. In short. Yes, it's just a matter of when. By coincidence, I might find myself in Sydney next Saturday, so I may get the chance to check one out at the Miners Den. Hopefully I'll keep my emotions in check (while I drool). I've also got an interest in the Sovereign, but with the release of the E-Trac, that may go on hold.
Why does Minelab have to make so many wonderful toys.:lol:
Mick Evans.
