Early Garrett BFO. THink a couple of our guys have one of these....

That's it bro'!:thumbup:Mine is called "The Provider", but as far as I know, it's the same as the "Hunter". :wiggle: Man, I didn't know that it could even detect paper money, too. I should swing it around more often:biggrin:Yeah, maybe I could "Find an Ounce of Gold a Day", too.:rofl:Happy Hunting!:)

They must have backed down on the sensitivity since that one was made.
None of mine detect paper money. Nice ad though. It sure does get
your attention that's for sure.

I've always wondered about a metal detector's ability to find paper money. I recall in the mid 1970's that another company, D-Tex used to advertise this a lot. How could they locate paper money? Even if it was a buried cache, people didn't use Tupperware. They would have usually put it in a metal container or jar with a metal lid. Did anybody ever actually find currency with these? :poke:

Oh come on. Didn't you ole' f----'s pay attention back then? You simply set the bfo back into mineral mode-coins would decrease the beat and minerals would increase the beat. The dollar bills would cause an increase in beat because of the mineral content in them-ink or paper or something. Hey, wait a minute. Am I showing my age?

Yeah, man, and the sounds that it makes REALLY freaks out the cats!:detecting:
