Early Sovereign

Got this set up a while ago, coil and meter came with it, also a Coinsearch coil. The Seasearch coil is heavy, works well with the Sov. Have a 12”/13” coil for it but like the Seasearch. Works like new, just hums along.

That's cool! I have one exactly like that but mine doesn't have the rubber covered toggle switches. Mine has the Coinsearch coil and needs a battery pack. Can you tell us what your battery pack is? Thanks! Ted

Are those 4 or 8 packs ?
Yes there are 4 AA alkaline battery in each pack so the total is 8 AA total, this is the spare alkiline pack that came with the Sovereigns and a few other Minelabs. I just ordered in the battery holder from Amazon and got the 2- 9 volt hook ups too and connect to the battery pack and hook that up to the connector to plug into the Sovereign that I had to connect in series so it would put out 12 V. It works good and runs great. Now this will not work using 8 rechargeable AA battery because they only have 1.2 volts per cell so together they are only 9.6 volts, but needs 12 volts.
Now what I need to finish this set up is a good coil for the Sovereign to put on it. The new 8 inch Slimline I was going to use, the cable housing is cracked up and falling off, the coil is new and hanging on the wall. Anyone have a extra coil for the Sovereign or know where to get one as they are hard to find.
