Grabbed my version 2 F 75 and was on a park swinging at 6:30 this morning. A spot I hadn't hunted for a number of years as all it ever seemed to yield was clad and it is a trash pit. My buddy had said he had heard of a silver or 2 coming out of it, so since it wasn't to far away thought I would give it a couple of hours this morning before Church. I had on the 5 x 10 DD which I had just gotten earlier in the week. I've always liked that coil. It is not the laser that the 5" small one is, but has better depth.

Anyway, was able to sniff out a 39d and 41 Merc. along with a small, thin, sterling marked ring and 2 wheat cents with some clad. 5 quarters, 20 dimes, 11 nickels and some Memorials and a couple of zincers. Need to hit the spot again with the 5" coil. Good luck everyone! HH jim tn

Thats really pretty great for a few hours!:clapping: Heck, thats good hunting for a month!

WOW .......................... Nice recoveries from a prior non producing area.....

Sounds like I may need a lesson as well. How bout' we all meet up nice and early at the Waffle House ? Hey Mud you in?

Thanks guys!

Coin Rescue Inc., I typically run settings pretty hot. I do go through the frequency shift upon starting out and try and determine the best frequency and strive to get a good g b. Other then that, 90 DST, 0 disc., no notch, de mode (usually unless tall grass, then bp) and sen generally as high as I can run it quietly. In machine gun sounding trash I will go as low as 60, but usually am around 85-90. And most importantly, for me anyway, I work slow and investigate all mid/high tone tic's, chirps, ect. Lots of good targets come up on those small tic's that are partially masked. HH jim tn

You up for a road trip there, Elton, SL52, and EPL? Sounds like you are getting restless! I am Jimtns manager, and will make all the arrangements for your schooling, please make out a $100 cashiers check to Mudpuppy Enterprises and pack your bags! Oh, BYOB...:beers: Jim, please reserve a table for 5 at the Waffle House, and tell them to change the grease in the fryer!...
Mud.

Mud, there is a couple more weeks to go on the grease change. When I just inquired they said not to worry, we change it every six weeks whether it needs it or not. They always use a dab on the griddle and that's what makes those golden brown waffles. HH jim tn

Oh Man! Talk about losing 10lbs by noon! :lmfao:

I suppose while the group is at it, we may as well swing down into Mississippi and go visit Doc Holiday and do a good deed since He's got a busted leg and all...I bet his grass is a foot deep, I'm sure one of you guys know how to push a mower, I'm allergic to grass as well as any kind of strenuous activity...plus, he knows of a secret old Civil War battlefield and all that..bags of gold all over the place!, cannons even!,...He can draw us a map I figure, or sit out in the car and listen to the radio...Its a Win-Win for all!

Geez, with all you guys converging on W Tn, I would ask you all to be a little considerate and supplement your diets with something like veggies. (certainly not eggs and beer, which I know Elton is fond of) Our county is only a million and a half acres and I don't wanna get run out of Dodge at my old age. HH jim tn
