Ebay fraud...WARNING.......

AndyNM

New member
Some guys are offering minelab detectors for a starting price from 44 to 100 $ and have links to lead you to their email address outside from Ebay. Item location shows some place in the US but the seller is in germany or england. Looks like some guys try to make some money with stolen user IDs.

I reported that to ebay and some listings have already been removed. Watch out !!!!!

The GP 3500 lists for $3500, the scammer's Buy It Now price is $700. Thanks for the heads-up. Ron

thanks andy!!i got ripped on e-bay one time so it pays to be careful.if it sounds too good to be true,,it probably is.:rage:

I had two messages from Pay Pal (I thought) asking me to update my profile last week.

They looked a little suspicious. Called Pay Pal and they were both frauds.

Pay Pal said that there messages will always address you by both your first and last name in the greeting text of the message. Neither of these had my name in them.

So be careful out there!

send them to Ebay via spoof@ebay.com. Ebay notified me that they were Spoofs and if they wanted any type of info that they would send a Message to your My Ebay and never send Ebay Messages wanting Personal Info via E-Mail. This is another way of knowing that something isn't quite right when you receive one via regular E-Mail. Thanks for the warning guys! Good Luck and HH.

I have my Explorer II on Ebay right now. I guess I didn't look at any of the others to see what they were
starting at or selling for.
