Sometimes it don't seem worth it. Starting this forum was my idea. But, being this accessable online isn't really so fun all the time. Everyday I have to deal with someone with some kind of agenda...sorta gets old after awhile.

it's always a challenge to deal with one's emotions when other folks have differing opinions about things that you have an inordinate amount of ownership in, but IMO and FWIW, you usually can't bring someone around to your point of view, whether it be detectors or any other topic.... only they can do that for their reasons if and when they make it happen, so why let yourself get worked up about something that you have no control over? If someone allows themselves to be influenced by someone else saying "this detector sux", there's probably some ol' "fox and grapes" going down so it's not like it's a lost sale anyways. :) Hang in there dude.

There are a lot more lurkers than posters... Most folks are very thankful to have a great place to meet and hang out, talking detectors and finds. This is one of the few "fun" forums where you can "cut up a little", and the moderator will let you :) I know it helps my work day pass by a little quicker!

Like BuckeyeBrad alluded, contrasting viewpoints are gonna stir folks up sometimes, especially when they are sincere. Some have motives, and some are just "hard headed" (I'm probably in the second one)

For what it's worth, thanks for having and moderating this forum! I shortened my "learning curve" with the Coinstrike by quite a bit by reading old posts, and asking questions. Folks here are always quick to give sound advice, and never make you feel stupid.

Hey Bill,

Thats what you are here for. The CZ's have Nasa Tom. The CoinStrikers and Edgers and Excellers have Bill Ladd. You wouldn't do this if you didn't believe in the machines. So suck it in and make us all drool with another old coin find with one of those Fisher machines you like so much :punch: :nopity:

I wouldn't have a Coinstrike today if it wasn't for your field test reports. :hot:

So give them agenders folks the famous BFL Bill sign :thebird: and get over it:wiggle:

Happy CoinStriking :bouncy:

WTF? your well on your way to getting banned from everywhere anyway - with YOU doing it!! That's why you need a new moniker - BFLEBL!!! lol!!

Seriously, Like Mark said, there are always guys looking to stir the pot and cause some "problums", others have just strong view points that will not bend.

This forum is one of the best out there with a great mix of info and finds, fun and "fellowship"!!

Bill, you might want to think of this as just another fork in the road. Folks have been facing and dealing with forks in the roads since the start of mankind so these personal tests goes back to the very beginning. This is actually the origin of the phrase "fork it". Due to several critical times in history where the key players had less than good penmanship and spelling skills, this phrase has changed by a couple letters in todays usage and spelling.   Laugh.... it's good for the perspective and the soul. ;)
