Electric Fence

Quite often that's the type of situation where you just happen to strike out. You're talking about an interfering electrical source that is in close relationship to where you are and the only options would be:
** Relicate much further from the fence or just go detect somewhere else.
** Get permission to turn it off while you're detecting.
Unfortunately, an electric fence can be a very annoying EMI source and usually we cannot adjust to counter that problem, other than the two suggestions I gave. I have hunted rural areas for decades and long ago I learned there was very little I could do as long as there is juice going to that fence.

There is nothing you can do while it’s hot. I regularly hunt right next to of of the super tall ones that keep people out (or in 
) and with all my machines I get a regular pulsing signal. I just hunt through it. It’s such a regularly timed pulse that I can tell when I get a target.
