Eliminator coil question

Even though this coil was produced in 89, pairing it with any of the classic series or the idx pro be a good choice, or a detector from the time frame in which the coil was made, or does it matter.

Jimmy made good innovative products...One good aspect it did not sound off from the top so you could hunt under objects.....was made for older units of that time but should work with new Whites units of same frequency.....a steal for the bucks.....very hard to find.....
