Elite lower problem !

So I ordered a lower shaft for my Xterra Elite , Minelab claims it will fit Vanquish and X-terra pro and the Elite . In fact it does NOT fit the Elite ...so I contacted Minelab and will wait for response. Anybody else have this issue ?? WTF Minelab ??...do better . Frustrated ... you bet I am.

Don't know about the Elite, but I bought a Vanquish lower rod for my PRO and it fits just fine.

It is strange because the factory lower is square with notches cut out and the one I ordered is just square at the top. The new lower will not even go into the opening on the middle shaft..?? Waiting for Minelab support.

Mystery solved ! According to Minelab there was a design change with the newer units and the notched top is the latest design for these lowers . Minelab said they will be sending me a new lower Free Of Charge ! ... I take back the do better comment as this is exceptional service on their part . I will provide an update when the new lower arrives. John

I bought an extra lower shaft to use on my XTerra Pro a couple years ago, and it did not seem to want to go into the middle shaft.
I noticed there was a slight difference at the top of the shaft like you mentioned, but it actually did go up into the middle shaft.
I posted about this a while back in case others had issues.
