Elliptical coil

I paired the elliptical coil to the remote without a hitch but cannot pair it up to the ws4 puck ? I tried to reload 4.0 version and it doesn't even pick up the coil from the remote., just the 9" and 11" coil got updated ?The pucks always loaded from the remote but they are not with the HF elliptical coil. Any suggestions ?

did you enter the serial number into the puck too?? if not that's the problem

I got it,Thank you. I don't remember manually loading the other coil in, I thought the remote updated the pucks automatically but I guess not. One thing I didn't do was have the puck turned on this time while I loaded the coil into the remote. There is a XP tutorial for manually programming the pucks, they thought of everything......

What do you got for a recommendation for frequency settings ?I dug a ton of pull tabs reading 91-93, was running 28 KHz. I really didn't find much of anything when going over what I already hunted through in the bad iron infested spots but I found a big Button and a Key and an old NY state conservation dept tag but the pull tabs sounded so good,.....

14 is going to be my main setting as I relic hunt mainly im not real sure how the higher freq is going to help relic hunting yet but 28 has potential.. If your looking for silver 14 would be better imo but if gold is on your mind the higher 74 nails it will bust a open earring at 7 1/2 inchs , the at gold ,etrac, and f 75 would not even make a peep on it. lol

Am interested in knowing more for settings with this coil. I have gone back to the black coils, love the simple sprite program for clad coin shooting although I am also hitting silvers with it,which is not the norm for my type of hunting environments but I have much to learn for settings yet.

Bibelot,
That HF coil is going to bang on junk nonferrous like no tomorrow.

If in such a site, be prepared to dig.

Here is a video to show potential capabilities of using HF vs LF.
This is the round coil,,but your elliptical likely behave similar.

Ring pulls are a pain int the butt wold wide over.

Trouble is in the UK if we dont dig them out,the user could be missing silver coins.

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.
