Went back to the spot with the BMX course yesterday. Spent the 1st five hours digging in the foundation but did not get a single solid signal
For the next 4 hours I put on the small coil to torture and interrogate the party area. All I could come up with in there was 1 button and a mashed 10k ring. One of those ugly $ symbol things.
The rest of the buttons came out of a 3' X 3' spot behind one of the course jumps. I was tooling around on the track and got a bad signal but dug anyway. Turned out to be two buttons. Spent the next hour digging 30 buttons out of that hole. There were a few bones and pottery bits in the hole but very little iron and no nails so I don't think it was a building. The hole was full of charcoal. There are only 5 kinds buttons so they must have been burning cloths. I wouldn't think they would do that in the early 1800's without good reason. The only thing I can think of was an epidemic. Any other thoughts?
