Yes, my F5 has multi frequencys and sometimes when I'm getting a lot of EMI I'll switch frequencys and reduce the problem. Also when hunting with other people your detector will interfere with the other guy's machine and by switching frequencys you can clear up the problem.
 
Switching frequencies to eliminate interference from another detector often works to quiet down a detector but the other detector will still cause a significant reduction in depth most of the time.
