2 tone ferrous mode digging everything. Blacked out from the 25 line but sometimes going into open screen

Have asked an expert about the age of the thimble. Has JC as a maker's mark

Sweet digs

FANTASTIC FINDS

Please tell us the ages of the hammered coins

Sorry you have to lose the silver thimble, but what a find!

Thanks very much!

The one with XII is a shilling. In the UK until 1971, there were 12 pence to one shilling. it is James I from the 1600s.The others are Henry VII

1491-1547 and they are silver pennies

I may lose the thimble but I may get it back. The BM will analyse the maker's mark and the itinitals and try and get as much information from it for social history purposes. If they decide to keep it and the Coroner declares it as treasure, I get 50% of the market value, as does the farmer

In my other vids, I have a gold poesie ring which is going through this process. I found it on 10 October last year and the Coroner looked at it on 14 October this year so it is a long process. I also have another ring going through this but a gold coffin ring I found dated 1726 on the banks of the Thames will not, since it is less than 300 years old. However, I have loaned it to the Museum Of London for research purposes since there is alot of inscription on it and they may be able to advance knowledge from it

BTW, I used to post as Bilko on this forum and had many posts but the system would not allow me to log on with that user name and thus I had to change my user name. Neswiper's vids got me onto the ETrac

Good luck!

Great finds Bilko! Thanks for the video.
