Yep! All the new Fishers and Teknetics are light and easy swingers!

As are many of their users! :detecting::twodetecting::detecting:

The T2 was the first metal detector in history to be designed from the ground up using a scientific approach to ergonomics. That mechanical package is still the only one for which the manufacturer publishes ergonomic specifications. Other manufacturers don't publish the spex on theirs because they don't even know what to measure, they never thought of ergonomics as a science.

The T2 had a predecessor, and that's the old Fisher 1260-X mechanical package. At that time (early 1980's) we didn't know how to approach the ergonomics scientifically, but we did put a lot of work into getting it to "feel right". It was only after it was in production and established itself as the ergonomics leader, that I spent some time trying to understand what exactly it was about that design that made it "right". So although the science came after the 1260, not before, anyone familiar with both packages can see and feel the historical connection between the two things.

Most of our recent products have pretty good ergonomics by prevailing industry standards. The Omega in particular gets very high marks for ergonomics. However only the T2 mechanical package (also used on the F75) was scientifically engineered fresh from the ground up for ergonomics, so it's only the T2/F75 for which we publish ergonomic specifications. Other products were adaptations of mechanical packages we already had (taking advantage some things developed for the T2) and although some scientific ergonomic engineering went into them, they weren't new attempts to set an ergonomic standard.

Dave that was an excellent explanation to us on the development of the T2 and what came later such as the Omega i use. Thanks to You and the entire First Texas Team for continually striving to take things to the next level...Thanks Markmac

I find switching detectors when my arm gets sore helps me stay out longer. I also find I spend loads more time with the Omega then the others. I find I prefer swinging that most of all.
There may be additional reasons...:detecting:

I am extremely happy with the GB pro. This detector has a guaranteed spot in my arsenal. While the GMT is the only detector I have found a nugget or chip of a nugget with. I am sure that I can hunt with the GB Pro 10X longer than I can with the GMT.
