What can you tell us about this detector ie. features, projected availablity, what dealer(s)will be handling it, price etc. Your posting of 3/29 on the Deepstar did not give a lot of information. Thanks.

Paul,
I just received a Deepstar from Eric. Due to poor weather conditions I have been un-able to get out and use it. I will report on it soon.
I will be handling the unit here in the US for Eric.
Below is a web address for Eric

can you tell me please, what is the maximum peak current thru the coil? thanks

Hi Walter,
There may be some confusion here as the Beachscan and Deepstar are two different detectors. I will post a picture of the Beachscan later today.
The peak current in the Deepstar coil is 2.0A while the Beachscan is 0.2A. The Beachscan, however has a pulse rate of 6000 and uses a 1mH coil so its performance is not to be judged on the peak current alone.
Eric.

I guess I didn't read it close enough. With his end remark I thought he meant DeepStar.
Bill
