Pro coil is 11 inch if you want to cover a lot of ground go 15. I have a WOT and like it. I use it for my clean up coil. I work a large older site with the Pro coil, after I can't find any more time for the WOT!!
I have the 15 X 12 SEF. I like it and have found a few coins between the 8 - 10 inch range. The only issue is the weight. It's heavy and unless you have a strong arm or some type of harness (which I just ordered myself), it will wear you out pretty quickly. I have the 12 X 10 SEF as well and can swing that one all day. It is a little better on depth then the Pro coil in my opinion, however, I'm not totally convinced that the small addition in coverage area and depth is worth investing vs. what you already get with the Pro coil. If I were you, I'd stick with the Pro coil and get a 15 incher. Cannot give you a comparison in weight with other brands, but I'm sure there is a post somewhere on the forum with this info.
One thing for sure is you cannot go wrong with either the WOT or NEL as both are excellent coils.
Yes it finds coins maybe 1 to 2 inches deeper. Make sure you pin point in normal when using the WOT its hard to pin point in sizing. Also your arm will give out a little faster LOL.
