Etrac emulator

vatos

New member
Today i downloaded the Etrac emulator.
What a nice programm.

-I have been reading that the Etrac couldn't detect a golden chain, in this programm he detects every golden jewelry.
So my question is, people who knows the etrac emulator and uses the etrac for real is this program OK.
In other words what the programm gives on info according to coins and jewelry (vdi numbers) are they the same as in real searching?

I've never used the emulator.

Sorry.

The emulator is very limited and not true to life. It's only use is for playing with reject and tone settings if you don't have the E-Trac in hand yet. It's target values are perfect conditions and dont reflect actual use or co-located targets. See if you can detect a gold chain with yours and post the results.

The low CO targets are very difficult to hear, or even sense, in real-world conditions. The gold jewelry target file has some of these target types and, for some of them, it was difficult to get a peep out of the machine, but that peep is what got listed. For all intents and purposes, I don't concentrate much on the low-CO end of the spectrum unless the FE value proves interesting somehow.
