Etrac Mod

Just wondering if any of You Etrac users have thought about Modding the Etrac to improve balance and or weight issues.
I've had thoughts about trying to make mine a straight shaft similar to the ATPro mod.
The problem is how to deal with the battery system.
I'm interested in any input or ideas.

How about strapping-on helium ballons!

Other than swingy thing harnesses, about the only thing to lighten the load is to jury rig the battery pack so it can be worn externally say on the belt.
Also i see people setting their coil shafts way way extended creating a lot of fatiguing leverage from the coil weight. I keep the shaft adjusted as short and as close as possible to my legs which reduces a lot of that leverage. I use my heavier Tornado coil a lot and can swing that thing for hrs. that way.

I've been looking to upgrade to a CTX for this very reason. It's a poorly balanced machine. I'm not sure I would do the "belt" mod and the battery really makes switching to a new type of shaft unfeasible. Like Ironsight mentioned, keeping the length short will help some with the fatigue, as would using a smaller coil. Other than that I'd guess you're going to be out of luck. Report back if you find something that worked for you.
