Etrac sees thru iron to get the silver AGAIN!

went back to the farm I was at last week where I got 4 indians, 3 silvers, wheats and V nickel........that time I was hunting with the xterra 70.

I took the etrac today to see how much I missed, first target I got was a wheatie and a 1918 merc dime, and there were 2 nails above the coins, one nail was directly on the merc, it actually left a rust stain. This etrac amazes me at how it can see thru the iron!

Got a couple wheats, a silver rosie I had to wrangle out of a tree root mess, and a georgeous 1896 indian, nice lil hunt. So the etrac was able to sniff out goodies that even another minelab missed...lol
I went across the front yard two directions with the x-70, and was going pretty slow. I imagine these targets were just cross to trash and x-70 missed em.

You are so right about this. I had the same thing happen to me last week. I got a wheat with a good sized piece of iron stuck to it. good job.

Thanks Goes. I appreciate the reply. I've been using Andy's coin pattern. I was using an X-Terra like you, a 305, and I went back to some places with the E-Trac. I found 4 mercs in a little (very little) park, where I'd only found wheats with the X-Terra. I think a lot of it had to do with a bigger coil, as the coins were not deep at all...

Going to be interesting following your progress this year with the Etrac buddy. I know you had a super year last year but I kind of think this year will be even better. Looking into the Etrac myself now. Hopefully I can swing that price tag. Great job on that hunt and yes, that Injun is in super condition.
