etrac vs safari

The E-Trac has a faster processor than the SE which has a faster processor than the Safari. The E-Trac is a smarter, faster machine and deeper depending on the conditions.

I've had both the Safari and the E-Trac - I agree with - " jspeedy " - 100% !

Good Luck !

The E-TRAC and Safari have a lot of things in common but processor speed isn't one of them..No doubt the E-TRAC is one of the deepest detectors on the market and if you take the time to master it, IT IS DEADLY !!! especially on older deep silver that is close to smaller ferrous targets..
I hunt with an E-TRAC from time to time but I love the simplicity of the Safari.. When I occasionally go coin hunting, I put on an 8" coil, turn 'er on and start hunting... Richard

The Safari manual says to Noise Cancel with the coil at least 12" over the ground, but some people Noise Cancel with the coil on the ground. Does Noise Cancel have a dual function, adjusting for ground mineralization and EMI, so adjustment should be with the coil on the ground?

it will come down to your line of thinking... but IMHO, I think that it would do better to Noise Cancel 1/4" so off the ground... that is where the coil movement is...... I have found this to be especially true when hunting wet sand... Best to all, Richard
