It seems to me that the people that are finding the most with the Etrac are mostly going by sound and not the meter. If this is the case. How close would a Sovereign GT come to competeing with the Etrac? Is there much difference in depth. Or is the Etrac just a faster response detector than the GT?

Etrac vs Sovereign GT

I spent a lot of years hunting with an original Sovereign with the stock coil. I really don't think that too many of my finds today with the Etrac would have been missed . It's the ability to adapt to the changes in the sites that you hunt that Does make a big difference. You have so many well done options to adjust If Needed that nail the extra find or two per week.
