Eurotek/Eurotek Pro?

How much performance difference is there between them? What are the major differences? I just bought a Standard Eurotek from a forums dealer and should get it before too long. Do any other coils enhance its performance? It comes with the stock 8". Any info appreciated. Thanks

Rebel,
You should download both manuals and compare them. The main difference between the two of them are the features. I used both and performance wise you really aren't loosing anything. Having the TID number is a real plus.

The worst thing about the Eutotek Greenie, is that the coil connector limits your coil selection or should I say, coil interchangeablility. The Eurotek uses a plug in connection, while the Eurotek Pro uses the threaded connector like all the other Teknetic detectors.

If you don't sweat the feature difference you will have a lot of fun with the Eurotek.
If you want the 11" DD coil, if you look around you can probably find used 11" DD with plug in connectors pretty reasonable.

A note about the connectors. People griped about the plug in styles, but when you are changing coils in the field it was much easier to change out the plug in style verses the threaded style. Because I carry multiple coils with me on my person when I detect so I can change my coils as I see the need, I don't even thread my connectors any more, treating the theaded style as a plug in. But again, you can't switch out coils with your other Tek units when you are limited to only the plug in style connector.
