Eurotek had me going tonight

Finished mowing the lawn and I decided to swing the Eurotek with the 8" coil for a few minutes before dark. I didn't think that I would find much if anything as I have detected my yard for about 25 years or so, after a couple minutes I got a nice high tone repeating hit, went in the garage and grabbed my digger and about 5 or so inches down up came this silver looking thing the size of a silver dollar that I thought was a coin. I didn't have my reading glasses with me but it was bent and felt alot lighter than what a coin would be. I could see some markings on it but without my glasses I didn't know what they were, I ran in the house all excited and told my son and wife that I found something cool, I handed it to my son and he said that is a pirate coin that he used to have. I got my glasses on and saw that it is a pool toy, play coins that you toss in a pool and dive for. Had me going for a few minutes, it actually was a good find even if it doesn't have any value as it showed me that the Eurotek was able to hit it, next time it could be a real silver dollar. The Eurotek is really earning my respect which is saying something coming from a beep & dig kind of guy, good job Teknetics.

Ha! Well done!:clapping: This here Eurotek is intriguing to me. Whatcha think about the battery life? non issue? It sure looks like something that could be modded into a waterproof wader of some sort...anyway, it sure looks like a fast and simple beachsweeper and midlevel wader the way it is. All the reviews you guys are writing sure make it of big interest to me.

Thanks Mud, I find that the battery life is very good, the wife and I have used it on a few hunts and I have played with it alot in the house and the yard learning the different settings and the battery is still going strong (my wife doesn't used headphones which drains the battery more than of used with headphones). I don't know about the waterproof thing as we never water or beach detect. For the $$$ it is a really good detector, I think that most people would be happy with one.
