Eurotek Pro finds me my first bus token!!

OK I know this is not your typical civil war relic hunting expedition but hey, I have always wanted to find one of those transit tokens and yesturday I found my first one!!! Yeah I know it is not a caped bust dime or gold double eagle but really, I have been wanting to find one for a very long time and I finally did!!! I hit an old house that I have looked at with an XLT and my friend hit it with his DFX. I also have run over it a couple of times with my Omega. Well needless to say, this was my first real maiden run with the Eurotec pro. I have the one with the 11" DD coil. I worked out a handful of clad, 1 hotwheels, 3 wheat pennies with the oldest being 1915, an old tootsie toy type car, a couple of other odd and end items but what made my day was the Nashville good for one school fare token. I have always wanted to find a transit token and for me this itself was worth the trip. I looked it up and according to online references it dates to the 1940's and although it is not worth all that much, like other odd and ends I have run across, it too will soon be in the display case. I am impressed with the eurotek pro. I believe for the money it is by far the best in its class. I had some issues with EMI but to tell you the truth, I have had some issues at this particular site with EMI on other machines and not just Teknetics. I was running sens at about 7 for most of the evening at this old house and it did just fine too!! Some of the clad coins were at 8" believe it or not and the eurotek pro gave off a good solid signal that locked on. I also found a handful of bottlecaps as well but I just put them right into file 13. Anyways for those of you who were thinking of getting one for old houses, school yards or parks and such, it makes a very good coinshooting machine as well. I am happy with it. Now if fall would ever roll around, I can take it to some of my old haunts!!! HH, Tim

a relic of times gone by....... Buses used to be a main mode of transportation much more than in today's world. Even in big cities where buses still operate it's far less utilized...

So I would say your find is "AWESOME" .........

Nice haul Tim, good little detector isn't it.

Thanks guys, yes it is a real neat little machine. Also I know it will sniff out some goodies in time. Let's see what you guys come across with yours. HH, Tim
