Eurotek Pro Questions

Dam you guys, I can't take it anymore reading your post about this inexpensive little wonder. First off has anyone done an air test on clad dimes, nickels, pennies, and quarters? The results of this would really interest me. I want to get one but am wondering on coil choice. I have mild ground and usually use a Tesoro Silver uMax with a 8" concentric and find that coil to be really great. So if I don't have mineralized ground, do I need the 11" DD? I have read that given equal size coils the concentric will always be deeper than the DD.. To keep the cost down I am thinking of just getting the 8" coil for now. I would have to justify getting this little wonder by convincing myself that it would be deeper than my Silver uMax which seems to have max depth of about 6" in mild soil. What do you guys think of it's depth?

Here's what my eurotek pro is getting from air testing using 10 sens, All I have is the 11'DD. Between using 8 & 10 sens the air test differences are minor, But once you start to lower down the sens to 7 and 6 depth drops quite a bit. Plus, If you're having EMI issues and the unit is stable at 8 sens that's still near peak performance.

Nickel......10"
Penny..... 10"
Dime........ 9"
Quarter....10"

Haven't tried any of the other coils but have read the 11" DD gets more depth.

Thanks for taking the time to post the air test results. That is better than my Silver uMax. I just might have to nab one of these gems.

I have the 8 inch coil Eurotek Pro and the air tests are about an inch less than the 11" coil.
Supposedly the smaller coil is less prone to EMI, so if you have good soil the 8 inch coil should be fine.
