Looking forward to your input Paul :)

Hello Bucksport,

It's a great machine, For under $300 bucks it's a great detector for both beginner to pro.

Just added on a Manual GB to my EuroTek, Heading out in a few minutes to test her out at a couple of local spots.

Take care,
Paul (Ca)

I was just working on that mod too....kinda obvious. Might actually do it later...

Hope all is well with you!!

Hey Scott,

Good to see you're still doing mods, You're the best out there old friend.

With the EuroTek Pro GB Mod, Use extreme caution the EuroTek is difference than other models we've worked on. You'll see what I mean it has it's quirks but you'll quickly adapt and relish the manual GB out in the field, Because of these GB differences the EuroTek Pro is best left with a preset GB for most users.

I'm going to add on another feature here shortly, Something you may want to consider when you add the GB to the eurotek. Going to add a switch underneath the housing so I can shift the GB setting back to stock preset GB, Or for mineralized ground switch it back to manual GB with the flip of the switch. Using two pots will enable this neat feature, So will remount the stock preset miniature trimmer pot only parallel to the manual GB pot with a switch separating the two.

This will also be a neat feature for beginners, Those that have issues manually ground balancing a detector can now select preset GB and detect right out of the car or those with experience can quickly select the manual ground balance feature instead. A feature for both beginners and experienced users.

I'll post the added feature on the mods forum when it's completed, With pics of the mod.

Good to hear from you Scott,
Paul (Ca)

Hi Frank,

Hunted an old park this afternoon, no old coins but was impressed with the unit. She does detect deep for a $300 unit, Kept saying to myself what a deal one of the best units out there for $300 bucks!

The unit hits hard of high conductive signals, Even tiny pieces with good depth. Still learning the machine, But liking it more and more each trip out.

Take care,
Paul

What Paul said. I can't find anything this detector doesn't do.........VERY WELL. Tried my first tot lot with today and it hits tiny things very well.

Can't wait for us to compare signals at our new site when my Europro comes in. It will be interesting to see what differences your mods make against a stock unit. You may have another unit to mod.

Hi El,

Looking forward to the hunt and using our Euro's in that iron ridden site, Perfect place to see what the euro's can do with all the iron masking.

Was thinking about that watering hole nearby, That's an area we need to check out :wiggle:

See you soon buddy,
Paul (Ca)

My main unit is the Eurotek Pro with 11" DD coil, eagerly awaiting the new one as mine had a PP button issue, so sent it in and the sent a new one my way as soon as I sent the old one. Great unit other than that one glitch, and great service! Stuck with my backup garretts for a couple more days.
