Evening Hunt

Jeff in PA took me to one of his spots this evening. Thank you, Jeff!

It's been quite a while since we've hunted together and it was good to get out. He told me about all of the goodies he had found there in the past and I could imagine those precious treasure as he talked about them.

Although I managed 3 wheat pennies ( 2 - 1944s and a 1946), silver was not in the cards for me. I did find 2 Quarters, 8 dimes and 12 memorial pennies beside. Jeff came away with the only silver of the evening, a nice religious medallion. Way to go Jeff!

Posts like this bring out what matters most in looking at how one rates a hunt. A great day spent with a friend doing what we enjoy is what stands out . . . the finds are secondary. Sounds like you both had a great day in the field and that is the real treasure this hobby produces on a regular basis!

Some of my most memorable hunts have been where little of mention was found but the comraderie shared among friends was priceless.

Its always good to get out even if the evening does not produce coins its still was great to see you again!

We will get out again soon. This weekend I have a soccer tournament in Jersey Shore so no detecting for me right now.

This humidity is bad right now.
