Ever witness an A.R.K.? (Act of Random Kindness)...

Pete in MI

Went to a restaurant this afternoon and had a great meal (dispite my sinuses). At another table I overheard a Grandmother with her daughter and a couple young children (grand children) as they sat down to order. This restaurant has a nice thing for people - they give out birthday card with discount for your birthday. The grand mother had one of these cards and was going to have something special...not just eat off the buffet as the rest of them were going to do.

The waitress came and took their orders and the grand mother was excited that she was going to get her special meal and the waitress informed her the certificate was only good in the month of her birthday - which had expired. Sadly the grand mother was disheartened and figured she would have to just eat from the buffet as well.

I spotted a lady who apparently had heard the same conversation go and talk to the waitress. I know her to be a good Christian lady. The grand mother was more than surprised when the meal she had wanted arrived at the table and was told it was paid for in full.

I did not get to see her face as I had them at my back. I know the lady who paid for the meal and knew she was not in a financial position to just do things like this. She had been touched by the grand mother's comments and decided to add the meal to her bill. It was a God thing for sure.

I would say who it was but I don't think that matters as much as the fact there are good people who go out of their way to show Jesus lives. May her crown have an extra jewel just for this one Act of Random Kindness.

I am sure this is something the daughter and grand children may see as an ARK. God bless the grand mother, the daughter and her kids.

I seen a person that I know say thanks to a man who wore a Veterans hat, then tell his waitress to take this money and pay for his meal. :)

It was right before christmas one year and I was out shopping with my mom for presents. I wasnt paying attention to what I was doing while I loaded up the presents into the car. I ended up setting my wallet on top of the car and forgetting about it. didnt relize till I got back to my folks place. about 10 min later we got call from a man who found my wallet on side the freeway by the on ramp 2 towns over. He drove all the way to my folks house to return it to me. I had just cashed a check and had several hundred dollars in it not to mention other important items. It was all still there nothing missing. I offered him a reward but he refused it. I will never forget that mans honesty .

during a holiday like that and the amount of money, many would have kept it, others would have been tempted. Glad you had an honest person return it to you.

What state you in Dobbie?

stick around...post your finds when ya get a chance and any prayer requests let us know. HH.

ok but heres the thing. there was a hitchhiker on that same on ramp where my wallet was found. he didnt see it. God had my back.

Thanks, Pete, for posting this story....makes a person feel good to know there are good things happening in this world and not just all bad like the news reports! A true woman of God paying for the grandmother's special meal and a true godly man going out of his way to return a lost wallet. God was sure looking after Dobbie and I can say without a doubt that the man who returned it has been blessed many times before and after returning the wallet!

God Bless!
