Everybody knows ROY G. BIV, right? It was an alternately rainy/sunny day today in my town , and about 8 minutes ago,

the rain and sun combined to produce this beautiful example of God's artistic gift to us.

I just had to photograph ROY G. BIV at two separate intervals -probably a minute apart and share it with my friends .

That's the acronym for remembering the arrangement of the colors of the rainbow.Red; Orange; Yellow; Green; Blue; Indigo; Violet....it is used sometimes in schools to teach the kids the colors of the rainbow..I only learned it while I was teaching ...had never heard of it before...thought I was the only one "out of the loop"

On old Olympic's towering tops a Finn and German picked some hops

The 12 cranial nerves....we learned them that way in Nursing School.
I don't think I remember them all let's see:

Olfactory , Optic, Ocularmotor, Trochlear, Trigeminal, Abducent, Facial, Auditory, ? ; ?; ? ?

Is there a Dr. in the house?

Oh well. I knew them in time for the exam...that was sooooooo long ago.

ROY G. BIV as in Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo (?), Violet as in the color spectrum of the rainbow...what about InfraRed and UltraViolet on the opposite ends?

Cool rainbow...a sign of God's covenant. Did you know as you look up at the rainbow, God is looking at it from Heaven

Thanks, Lorraine, for the pics of a lovely rainbow in the sky......it looks almost like a double one, as at the top of the dark area above the rainbow is a faint one! I am out of the loop also, for I had no idea what you were talking about! Now, I guess a person is never too old to still learn something! I used to know the musical scale concerning the notes! Every Good Boy Does Fine and I forget the other one! But hey I may be wrong on the first too, as it has been 55 years since I graduated from high school when I went to music class! Telling my age aren't I ?

God has gorgeous colors in almost everything we see to give us joy unspeakable and full of glory!

God Bless!

infrared film in cameras find where heat is leaking out of your house.

ultraviolet (also known as black light) makes your blouse look weird and glowing under its light

Those rainbows are so close to God ...but your brother is closest to Him! I will remember your brother in my daily prayers.

Well, Pete, I should have but had forgotten and remembered when I saw your post! Thanks! :)

God Bless!

Thanks, Lorraine, I don't remember about the grandma one but I remember now about All Cows Eat Grass! Just been too long since studying music and never played an instrument, so Ma's mind drew a blank......Maybe I did purge it and purged too much!

God Bless!

We use a mnemonic in astronomy to remember the star letters which designates it's temperature. B, A, F, G, K, M, Be A Fine Girl /or Guy Kiss Me
Now that they have found more star types it's W, O, B, A, F, G, K, M, R, N, S Wow Oh BE A Fine Girl/or Guy Kiss Me Right Now Sweetie.
Our Sun is a G type star, about in the middle of the temperature range. Hope it stays that way;)
