Hi all, OK is it just the luck of the draw or am I missing a piece to the e-trac puzzle? The last few hunts I have found about 18 wheat's and 4 indian heads and all kinds of clad. I've been hunting a couple old turn of the century homes and a couple of strips. Also a old turn of the century church that was probably hunted before. A couple of the wheat's were the length of my lesche blade deep so i think I am getting the depth. I feel I am getting a handle on iffy signals, all the indians can testify to that because they were all bouncy. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something with the deep(or shallow) silver or is it just because I have not put the coil over it yet. I just cannot believe I can find all the wheat's and injuns and no silver. Any help or info would be appreciated. Thanks all and HH.

You really can't miss silver with the E-Trac. If you haven't found it, you just haven't put your coil over it. If you're finding Indian head cents and deep wheaties, I'm confident you're doing it right. I still pull silver from parks that have been hunted heavily for 40 years. My remedy for this problem? Go detecting more! :detecting:

some old houses have very little silver, and a ton of wheats and indians. Some old houses have silver everywhere. Here is what you do.

Keep hunting old houses and sooner or later you will find one where the silver out numbers the wheats! It seems like to me about 1 or 2 out of 10 old houses are really LOADED. Old houses is all I hunt, they all have wheats, kids always had pennies. Keep at it, your doing everything right if your digging indians.

Believe it man. I've had that happen to me several times. You don't have to worry about that E-Trac finding that silver if you get that coil over it. This is one silver getting machine. I found a really small (1/4 x1/4") silver Frat charm last week end 5"s deep and it read loud and clear. I've dug silver coins in all kinds of junk and have found a few with one or more nails in the hole with it.

Keep digging, it's out there waiting for you. Rick

I agree with the guys. I don't think you missed too many silvers. If you diggin' iffies on IH's then you'll be looking for iffies on silver. Keep on diggin' the wheats too. For me a lot of the barbers and my (ONE) seated came in like a wheat.
