Exactly what does the threshold do?

Then you have the Minelab threshold setting you can turn on that goes over non ferrous and changes pitch to a higher sound and then if over ferrous target it goes to a lower tone. I believe that's how it goes. It may be like that on both sides on a Sov. GT.
