Excal 2 Battery Pod.....Storage during Off-Season

Do you need to drain the Battery all the way down or do you need to leave it fully charged & then recharge as the battery looses it's charge....any info will be appreciated....Thanks...HH...Tab.

On my Sovereigns or any detector using rechargeable batteries I will fully charge them when I put it away, then recharge them in about every 2 months myself and had real good success with them. I don't think you want to fully discharge them before you put it away for the season as they can leak and even reverse polarity and will not be able to recharge them again.
Lets see if anyone else does this or what their secret is.

I dont have an off season for the Xcal. But .... i do have long periods of none use on my Sov. Like Rick, i fully charge them and check them every couple of months to bring them back up to charge. I cant see any benefit to ever discharge a battery for storage. The only time i discharge a battery is to try and improve its charge.
