Excal Battery bubbling

Hi to all!
I hope you had a great summer.

I have a situation with one of my pods, its an old blue, with a Maxxpack battery, I did some maintenance on it, with silicone spray for the o ring and checking everything was snug.
Also put some conductive greasy on the connectors.
Went hunting, and after finishing and turning off the blue 800, I disconnected the battery from the machine in the water, and I see that one of the sockets was bubbling, like effervescence, and it was a little warm.

Ideas? is that bad?

Thanks

I am puzzled why you would take the battery off underwater. Water conducts current so current is flowing from positive to negative terminals on the battery. YIopur battery is discharging rapidly when you do that DONT DO THAT unless you plan on doing severe damage to the battery.
