Nice finds today, a 24K thin gold ring, a silver ring, a brass bell seems old,a necklace not worth much ,and a mood ring worth even less. all in the wet sand. Gene

Interesting and impressive finds. I've never found a 24K anything before. HH!

Nice finds Gene. Finding something solid gold is great, the ring looks beautiful. BTW. I have harnessed up my Excal (thanks largely to your help) and have been out with if a few times. Nothing great yet. Quite a lot of junk jeweller, some small silver pieces of jewellery and 2 silver rings, one of which was very deep and had a think layer of grey tarnish from the black sand in which it had been buried for a long time. It started out with a very faint signal, and didn't at any time (even when I had dug it out) sound like silver. It wasn't until I got it cleaned that it identified on the machine as silver. So, thank you for your help Gene. Using the Excal is much more comfortable as a result.

I am looking to buy an Excalibur before vacation to have along with the E-Trac, keep posting finds like this and it just makes me want to get one even more.

BCOOP, Missouri

24k is unusual as its so soft, hope its not just plated they usually use 22k or 24k for that here, nice finds whatever

Nice finds, Yes 24k does happen, I got a LG ring, little over a quater of an once, a few months back that was stamped .L9999 It happes to fit me perfect so it did not go to the refinery like every thing else this year. Its the one on the top in the middle, the two on the left are 20k and came out of the same hole, the one all the way right was a half once of plat, i miss summer weekends like that one, wish old man winnter would hit the road.

Good finds Gene,
I hope to get the old Excal going soon, so I can get back into it.:minelab:
I would be happy with anything at the moment.
Getting a new battery from the States as it is cheaper to get from there to here in Oz.
HH and cheers
Brad.. (aushunter)

Only tip I can give is find a coin bed and GO SLOW. If you try to get the whole beach before anyone else does, you loose. Gene

Good finds Gene Excal working good for you.....hh Dan

Yes they were found in the good old USA , it was at a location were a lot of foreigners swim. They all came out in one weekend. Its the kind of stuff that keeps you going when you start to feel like your looking for a needle in a hay stack.
