What are the setting for the Excalibur 11 setting for fresh water hunting

The setting will vary greatly from location to location. They will vary from machine to machine at the same location. Turn the machine on discrimination should be just off 0 but before 3 the sensitivity can be as high as the area allows ussally 7/8 and set the threshold like a buzz.
Now do yourself a favor and get a deep target and change the setting and see what makes it bettter. You will find many times less sensitivity is better than more. These machines carry lots of power some times way too much.Too much is a bad thing. There is very little indication that you signal is bouncing back and not getting through. I run mine at around 5/6 and my buddy runs his at 8 and we both can hear the same targets. Have fun and good luck. BCNJ

Great reply!

Well at least I was in the ballpark with my setting that I had just need to make a small adjustment
Thanks

when my machine starts falsing I will switch to auto sens and it will smooth out and run like a top. I have found dimes at 10" with no problem while hunting in the saltwater on auto. Mostly I will run mine at 8 sens but as Buried said you've got to play with it.....HH
