Excalibur headphone repair

New member
Hi,
a friend of mine has a intermittent fault with the headphones on his excalibur, by pressing on the side it makes contact for a while but keeps going off again so he knows its a wire problem and wants to repair it himself but cant see how to take the headphone apart ( cable side on the blue headphones) any ideas would be appreciated.
cheers,
John

Hey John,

I'm having a similar problem, this may or may not help but check out my post in the PI technology forum. Should be on the first page titled, "XL500 Headset". I got really good feedback from cupajo. Hope this helps. I decided to go with hearing through one ear, rather than take it all apart and left with nothing. My problem is Garrett doesn't make this headset anymore or I should say price went through the roof:shrug: I'm taking this opportunity to massage the wife for a new detector. Wish me luck

Mynah
