I have searched this forum and all I can find on coil change out for an excalibur is to disassemble and solder new coil leads to the circuit board. If you will not be diving, only wading is there another way with a water tight/resistant connector such as an Ikelite product?

Hey Otlew

I'm in the process of this:coiltec: mod at the moment,if you can solder it's quite simple.I will post a few pic's of the finished job

Cheers Ron

Thanks,
I can solder, hobby was electronics and I designed and built simple circuit boards many years ago. I look forward to your post. I was hoping to be able to interchange coils between a Sovereign and Excalibur 1000 and wanted to just plug and unplug as needed.
