Excalibur knobs

It seems like I go through a set of stock knobs every year, what are others using as aftermarket knobs or do you stay stock? The stock knobs are a bit expensive for how fragile they can be.

Smkunder yes the stock knobs break, I got the Anderson, mickfin

Be careful with third party knobs. You can actually break the pot with the twisting. The stock knobs will not do this. They are designed to break loose before you can damage the pot. But I have to agree. The stock knobs are just not up to the task.

Radio shack set screw type... they have a point molded into the knob which helps one when making adjustments in the dark...

If you want to go with after market knobs I have found the ones that John sells are the best. They have stainless steel set screws.

Good ones Mel. I prefer the aftermarket larger ones. They mive much smoother with 2 fingers. Unlike the stock...u can feel the stops and you dont keep twisting till something breaks.

Thank You Mel, I just ordered a set from the link you posted to give them a try, has to be be better than the stock ones, they always seem to let loose at the worst times!

John also has some of the best water pouches on the market.

Ill give thise pouches a 2 thumbs up as well. Ive had mine at least a couple of years. Unlike dive belts his zippers never seem to lock up or break.

Radio Shack, they work good. I had heard that they were going out of business but ours is still open and going strong, been using their knobs for 2 years and haven't had to replace them. I take them off every 6 months, clean the area and relube with electric silicone....HH
