Excalibur Repairs by Bill Branin

Hello All,

In December I sent my original Excalibur to Bill Branin for repair on advice from several forum members. This was an original Excalibur with a horseshoe-shaped coil. Due to the holidays, my work schedule and the fact that it was winter, I did not press Bill for an update. Two days back, I sent Bill an email to get a status update. I have had no response, but was not worried since he might not read his email daily. Tonight I decided to reach him by phone. Since I did not have his number, I did an internet search by his name, which led me to this forum (of which I've been a member of), and a few emails, which has caused me concern. Bill was not in when I tried to reach him. I left a message and a second email and am awaiting a response.

When I originally asked on this forum and TreasureNet, Bill's name came up as the only guy to send the Excalibur to. I am surprised to have seen the complaints today. Has anyone had any recent contact with him? Has anyone had recent satisfied results from him?

I'll give it a few days, but again I am worried based on what I am now reading. I am hoping that what I have read is outside of his normal business practices. What should be my next step if I do not hear back from him. I spent everything I could to get the Excalibur and without it, I'm stuck and not in the position to get another water detector.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, if anyone has any contact information for Bill, I would greatly appreciate it. I have his phone number, his address and his email address of highplainsdrifter.....

Thank you in advance,

Chris / LI Digger

The last email I received from him was on January 3rd. I was supposed to get a refund from him at the end of December for an Excal I bought from him. I've still got the Excal that leaked and he's still got my money. I've lost all hope of recovering any of my money from him. I'm trying to revive this machine but I'm running out of patience. I'll probably list it on the classifieds as a dead Excal and sell it for parts. I get angry every time I look at this machine. I had hoped I was the last guy that got shafted by this jerk. Sorry to hear your story Digger. I hope you can recover your machine and I hope he hasn't started "working" on it yet. Best of luck to you Digger. And Bill, if you are reading this you've caused a lot of people a lot of misery. Just remember Bill , what goes around comes around. You'll end up paying for all this one way or another.
