at Kellyco- I ordered the 14" and couldn't pass up the fine offer of the 5". Looking forward to learning to use the 14 before my trip next month to the UK. The 5 should be good for trashy areas and nugget shooting. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
Toddy(UK)- if you read this- do you have any pointers besides having to turn the threshold off? Not sure why that should be. Are you still using and happy with the 14"?

just got the whites 4x6 mini shooter coil from minn.metal detectors he beat kellycos price (from JW)by 20.00 got the coil for 99.00 and 5.95 shipping if anyone is interested kellycos price was 119.95 plus 9.95 shipping so see independent dealers sometimes can give you better prices heck in the last 4 years i must have spent 5.ooo bucks at kellyco think the would reconize there repeat customers
 
Sorry Gary I just caught your posturning the threshold off was the only thing I found I had to do to be able to run the MXT and stop the chattering but remembering the amount of decomposed man made iron on my sites. It might be different in your area. I have stopped using mine and will be sending it back not because of the performance but it has allready started to show holes or heavy wear because of it not having a cover and this is only after 20 hours use.
 
That is a shame Toddy, sounded like you were doing pretty good with the coil. Doesn't look like it would be all that hard for Detech or Kellyco to come out with a cover for the coils. I have not heard anything else about the covers, a couple weeks ago I know Kellyco said they were checking into having some made but haven't heard anything else.

I calculated the weight from the 5" cover that weighs about 32gms- about an oz. The 14 " would be 6oz
