Exchange question

You need to find someone here who has both detectors and tried the exchange software on them. If you haven't already, try posting on the CTX forum.
Your best bet though is to contact Minelab tech support.

I myself have never or intend to use the exchange software.
 
NO, the E-Trac does NOT use the same software as the CTX. The E-Trac uses E-Trac XChange or you could use a third party software called E-Trac Manager. I prefer the Manager program.
